The Greene County varsity baseball team started June with a 14-4 win over South Hamilton in Jefferson Monday. The game was called after five innings.
Junior Daric Whipple pitched the entire game and allowed just one hit for the night. He struck out five batters and walked seven.
The Rams collected 17 hits. Riah Nelsen hit a triple, a double and a single. Jordan Challen and Jordan Hostetler each hit a double and two singles, Colton Fitzpatrick hit three singles, and Whipple, Alex Rasmussen, Reid Lamoureux, Dylan McConnell and Tyler Beger all hit one single each.
The Rams are now 3-1 overall and in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference.
